Plan to join us Saturday, September 23 for CommUNITY Fest 2017 including United We Can, a food sculpture competition, free kids’ activities, music and photo ops with your favorite costumed characters and mascots. Help select the “People’s Choice” award winning sculpture by bringing a canned food item or cash. You’ll receive one vote per item or $1. It’s a free, fun event that has something for everyone in the family.
Does your company, service club or non-profit organization want to be part of the fun? There are several ways for you to participate.
United We Can – create a team to build a food sculpture with non-perishable food and other basic needs items. It’s a great team building opportunity and all food items will help fill the shelves at local pantries. Check out some photos from the 2016 competition, watch a video from the event, or a time lapse video of a sculpture under construction (video link at the end of the page). Watch for on-line team registration next summer.
Kids’ Activities – local groups provide everything from crafts and face painting to obstacle courses and games. The best part…all activities are free and sure to produce smiles all around.
Costumed Mascots – does your business, school or group have a mascot? We would love to have them join us for all or part of the day. Contact Sue Haupt for more information.
