Volunteer Opportunities

 

Membership Information
 
The Workplace Volunteer Council (WVC) is a coalition of 21 caring area businesses that was established  in 1996 to:
promote workplace volunteerism–emphasizing its value to business and the community.
► identify developments and new opportunities in the field of employee involvement.
serve as a resource for businesses developing and expanding programs.
► develop cooperation and communication among member businesses to realize common
     objectives and find solutions to common problems.
► serve as a communications vehicle between businesses and the nonprofit sector to
     promote a public/private partnership.

 

Benefits of joining the Workplace Volunteer Council include:
►     opportunity to network with other community minded professionals.
►     developing a positive company image within the community.
►     current information on workplace volunteerism.
►     increased company morale with a positive effect on employee retention.
►     assist in making Marathon County a better place to live and work.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7:45 - 9:00 a.m. at the United Way office, 137 River Drive, Wausau, WI 54403
