United Way 2-1-1’s across Wisconsin are bringing their statewide network of staff and resources to support Wisconsin’s new Addiction Recovery Helpline. The Helpline connects people struggling with substance use to local recovery services. It is accessed by dialing 2-1-1 or 833-944-4673 at any time. The Department of Health Services (DHS) supports this free and confidential service.
In addition, 2-1-1 Wisconsin launched a brand-new website – addictionhelpwi.org – for the service. The site allows people to reach the Helpline in four different ways. Users may get help through call, text, chat or online. The new site is fully focused on recovery. Site visitors can access resources for signing up for insurance, browse treatment options and learn more about recovery. They can also use the site’s guided search function to walk through available resources.
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with an addiction, call United Way’s 2-1-1 to find local resources to help.
