United Way 211’s across Wisconsin are bringing their statewide network of staff and resources to support Wisconsin’s new Addiction Recovery Helpline. The Helpline connects people struggling with substance use to local recovery services. Access it by dialing 211 or 833-944-4673 at any time. The Department of Health Services (DHS) supports this free and confidential service.
In addition, 211 Wisconsin launched a brand-new website – addictionhelpwi.org – for the service. The site allows people to reach the Helpline in four different ways. Users may get help through call, text, chat or online. The focus of the new site is recovery. Site visitors access resources for signing up for insurance, browse treatment options and learn more about recovery. They can also use the site’s guided search function to walk through available resources.
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with an addiction, call United Way’s 211 to find local resources to help.
