(7-8:30 pm) History of US Immigration Policy- Wausau

FREE program open to the public held in the James F Veninga Theater in the UW Center For Civic Engagement in Wausau. This is the first program of a three part series. Refer to the second program on March 10th and third program on March 30th posted on the RSVP Community Calendar.

Brett Barker, Ph.D., professor of history at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau, will provide the historical background on the arrival of various immigrant groups to the state. Theresa Cardinal Brown, director of immigration and cross-border policy for the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington D.C., will examine the recent history of immigration policy in the U.S.
