Housing and Homelessness Coalition
- The coalition was instrumental in supporting the establishment of the Wausau Community Warming Center in 2013. Since it opened, the Warming Center has served an average of 143 guests annually between November 1 and April 30.
- Together, member organizations work to address and assist individuals and families experiencing housing challenges obtain and maintain safe and stable, supportive or permanent housing.
- Twice a year, in January and July, the Housing and Homelessness Coalition participates in the national homeless Point-in-Time Count.
- The Coalition advocates and raises awareness about affordable housing and homelessness to increase public engagement and understanding of the issues.
