Who is Donna?

Donna is currently retired after a 43-year career primarily in human resource management at three great Wausau area employers.  Born and raised in Minocqua, she is a graduate of UW-Madison, and has been a resident of the greater Wausau area for the past 47 years.

Donna shares her Rib Mountain home with a 13-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) rescue as her immediate family - her daughter, son-in-law, three grandsons, and grand-dog reside in Florida.  She has a passion for helping others (humans and shelter animals) and is a life-long community volunteer at numerous not-for-profit organizations.

Why United Way?

I began my volunteerism in United Way within a few years of settling in Wausau.  I believe a strong United Way is the key for effectively serving and supporting others in the community.  I have served on several UW committees and currently am a member of the Retire United Steering Committee, Human Resource Committee, and the Community Investment Committee.  I was asked to join the Board to represent our retired population who might need UW program services, and who support UW efforts monetarily and thru their volunteerism...and of course I said sure.
