Uniting for the holidays baking supply drive

Many families struggle to buy groceries, let alone baking supplies for the holidays. Let’s help them continue (or create) a family tradition of baking holiday goodies! Host a baking supply drive at your workplace, with your family/friends, or on your own. All baskets will be distributed to local food pantries.

Basket Requirements
Each basket (or sturdy decorative container) should include the following items:
•    1 Cake or Cookie Mix
•    1 Bag of Flour (2–5 lb)
•    1 Bag of Sugar (2–5 lb)
•    1 Bottle of Cooking Oil
•    1 Package of Brown Sugar OR Powdered Sugar
•    1 Small Bottle of Vanilla OR Holiday Spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.)
•    1 Set of Measuring Cups OR Measuring Spoons
•    1 Baking Tool (cookie sheet, cake pan, spatula, rolling pin, or oven mitt)

Important Notes
•    Please pack items together into one basket or festive container.
•    If your group collects enough supplies for multiple sets, please create multiple baskets rather than adding extras into one.
•    To ensure fairness, United Way may adjust basket contents before distribution, so every family receives a similar kit.
•    Gift cards will not be accepted.
