Invest in a Mom. Change a Generation.

She’s working. She’s budgeting. She’s doing everything she can. Still – it’s not enough.

In Marathon County, 60 percent of single moms live at or below the ALICE threshold. We all know people who are ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed — earning more than the Federal Poverty Level, but not enough to afford the basics where they live.

Too many single moms in Marathon County are one unexpected crisis away from falling behind.
Rising housing costs, childcare expenses, and everyday necessities make financial stability difficult to achieve. Yet these hardworking mothers are raising the next generation and doing everything they can to build a better future for their children.

United Way of Marathon County partners with local organizations to ensure single moms have access to the resources they need to build stronger futures for their families. Through financial stability programs, childcare support, and connections to essential community services, we help families move from crisis to stability.

When mothers have the support they need, children thrive, families grow stronger, and our entire community benefits.

Your gift today helps local single mothers access the tools, resources, and support needed to create lasting stability for themselves and their children.
