Make a Difference Day

You may register your yard to be raked beginning at 8am on Tuesday, September 5th. To register your yard:

Call 211 between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday - Friday

Requests completed by 5pm Monday, October 2nd will be priority for placement.

For elderly or disabled homeowners who are in the ALICE population, seasonal lawn care like leaf removal presents a significant challenge, as the cost of hiring out these services is out of reach. United Way of Marathon County is seeking to help relieve that worry by coordinating volunteers to rake these yards, allowing people to care for and remain in their homes without taking on an additional household expense.

You can join us in this effort by gathering a group (or two! or more!) to spend a few hours raking, bagging, and hauling leaves for households across Marathon County.

Join us for our community raking day on Saturday, October 28! We will assign you yards based on your group size and availability.
